I have recently relocated from London to Abu Dhabi with my husband and two year old daughter to undertake the role of Assistant Principal and Head of Inclusion. I have worked in education for ten years and have been lucky enough to be part of some innovative and unique schools in London. I have lead and taught across all Primary phases, as well as some work in Secondary. During my career in various areas of leadership, I have been able to support teachers and staff to reflect and improve their practise, with the shared goal of raising attainment and skills for students. I also pride myself on working with families to ensure that we are able to build a whole school community. My speciality is in ensuring all children are able to access the broad and diverse curriculum and that learning is tailored to children and their specific needs. In the past I have also undertaken research in order to look at how students learn best and whether alternative teaching styles can enhance achievement and progress.
I have a passion for education and value its importance and the opportunities it can bring students. Therefore, my expectations as an educator and of students I work with is very high, as I believe there is no ceiling to a child’s potential. I am very interested and keen to further explore the use of dialogue and independent learning in the classroom to ensure all students are invested and motivated in their own educational journey. It is extremely exciting to be a part of Ajyal International School and I look forward to immersing myself in a dynamic and high quality learning community.
